Creepy Carrots adaptation read aloud: Mrs. Goulden's class enjoyed a read-aloud of the Creepy Carrots with sound effects provided by NovelEffect web based app. The purpose of the lesson was to consider the traits of horror when it is applied to stories based on the audience. The students had to analyze how the traits were adapted for the psychology of a younger audience. Then the students chose a horror based children's story and created a movie poster for the book that incorporates foreshadowing for the events in the story.

📚 Turner County Middle School students are starting their mornings off strong with Silent Sustained Reading before school! What a great way to build focus, grow vocabulary, and enjoy a quiet moment with a good book. ✨

🌟 Turner County Middle Schoolers are shining their genius each morning by stepping up as leaders! We are so proud of the way our students take initiative and set a positive example to start the day. 💙✨

🐣 Exciting news from our Agriculture class! Students have been keeping a close eye on our incubator, and we’re thrilled to announce that we now have 4 fluffy baby chicks hatched! 🌱🐥 Such a great hands-on learning experience for our students as they study life cycles and agriculture in action.

🔬✨ Students in Ms. Williams’ 8th Grade Science class put their critical thinking to work by developing atom models through analyzing patterns in the periodic table! 🧪 They are also exploring chemistry further by comparing and contrasting pure substances and mixtures. 👩‍🔬👨‍🔬
